CAMDEN, N.J. – The Neumann University men's tennis team returned to the court and brought home a 7-2 win from Rutgers University – Camden on Sunday afternoon.
The Knights opened the match by taking all three doubles.
Daniel Bonowski and
Vince Landis made quick work at first doubles, winning 8-1.
Logan Gorbitz and
Anthony Andrews took third doubles also by an 8-1 score.
Joe Troilo and
Anthony Carpinella won 8-3 at second doubles.
Neumann then took the first four singles flights. Bonowski won 6-3, 6-4 at first singles. Landis took his match at second singles 6-0, 6-3. Troilo battled in his first set, coming away with a 7-6 (7-4) win before taking the match at third singles 6-1.
Carpinella won his match in the fourth flight 6-1, 6-1. Stiteler took his first set at sixth doubles, 6-2, but then fell 6-3, 7-4.
Neumann (2-0) will head to Penn State Brandywine on Tuesday afternoon beginning at 3:30 PM.
