Men’s Tennis Falls in Championship

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Neumann University men's tennis team finished as the Atlantic East Conference runner-up, falling 5-0 in the championship match on Wednesday afternoon.
 
The Saints opened the match by taking all three doubles points. The duo of Daniel Bonowski and Vince Landis battled in the first doubles flight but fell 8-3. Marymount won second and third doubles but by 8-1 scores.
 
Marymount didn't waste time in singles action, taking first singles 6-0, 6-1 and third singles 6-0, 6-0.

At every Atlantic East Championship, the Atlantic East Elite 20 award is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average competing at the finals site at each of the Atlantic East's 20 team championships. The men's tennis Elite 20 was awarded to Anthony Carpinella. The sophomore maintains a 3.967 GPA majoring in data science analysis. For the entire selection criteria and process, click here.
