ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University softball team dropped a pair of Atlantic East Conference contests to Cabrini University on Wednesday afternoon by scores of 4-1 and 2-1.
 
The Cavaliers scored three runs in the second inning en route to the 4-1 win in game one. Cabrini did not give up a hit to the Knights. Neumann scored its run in the sixth inning as Emily Ammon and Kristen Pagliaro reach on back-to-back errors. Ashlynne Scardino pitched the complete game in the circle.
 
In the second game, the Cavaliers took advantage of some Knights miscues and plated an unearned run in the second. Neumann tied the game in the third after Ammon walked, stole second, and came around to score on a single by Pagliaro.
 
Cabrini took the lead back with a run in the fifth.
 
Alyssa Celi got the first hit on the afternoon for the Knights. Cioni Simmons also had a hit in the game. Ang Sannicandro pitched the complete game in the circle. She allowed two runs, just one earned, on five hits.
 
Neumann (6-17, 1-3 Atlantic East) heads to DeSales on Tuesday for a rescheduled doubleheader beginning at 4:00 PM.
