AMHERST, Mass. – The Neumann University men's soccer team fell in the first round of the NCAA Tournament 3-1 at Amherst College on Saturday.
Luke Mejia had the best look for the Knights in the first half but could not get the ball to fall into the net.
The Mammoths scored the lone goal of the first half off a corner kick in the 35
th minute. Amherst scored two quick goals in the 58
th and 60
th minutes to take a 3-0 advantage.
The Knights got on the board in the 64
th minute as
Hunter Rolles sank a penalty shot.
AJ Henry made five saves in net for the Knights.
Neumann finishes its season 10-7-4 overall.
