GREENWOOD, Ind. – College Sports Communicators have announced their Academic All-District selections in Cross Country/Track & Field and Neumann University's
Courtney Humphreys were among the honored.
Humphreys put together a stellar year as she picks up her second CSC Academic All-District selection. In the fall, she was named the Atlantic East Conference's Runner of the Week on September 18
th while being named to the Weekly Honor Roll three times. She placed third in both the Dan Talbot Open on September 29
th, and the Conference championship race on October 28
th.
The Pennsville, N.J. native started off the indoor season with a bang as she won the mile and came in third in the 800 at the Bow Tie Invitational on December 8
th. The high marks continued as she had to third place finishes on January 20
th in both the 400 and the 800 at the Collegeville Classic. Six days later, at the Muhlenberg Invitational, she placed first in the mile. On February 3
rd, at the Frank Colden Invitational, Humphreys place second in the 800 and third in the mile.
During the outdoor season, she made the Atlantic East Conference Weekly Honor Roll on April 15
th, on the strength of two visits to the top of the podium at the Bill Butler Invitational, winning the 800 and 1500. The senior won the 800-meter and 1500-meter races at the Atlantic East Conference Championships while coming in second as part of the 4x400-meter team.
