ARLINGTON, Va. – The Neumann University Men's Soccer team cemented a perfect conference season with a Wednesday night win over Marymount University by a final score of 3-2.
Neumann got on the board first when

Victor John rolled in his second goal of the season. That lead would hold all the way through the halftime break even though they were outshot 11-8.
Just over two minutes into the second, Neumann doubled their lead. In the 48
th minute,
Zion Atta-Krah snuck inside the box with possession and pushed in his fourth goal of the year. The Saints would not back down however as they scored in the 58
th and 72
nd minutes to tie the match. Five minutes later,
Owen Rem crossed a ball into the box that hit a defender and popped over the goalkeeper for the game-winner.
Jordan Illian led the Knights with seven shots, two on goal.
Darwin Berger also had two of his shots challenge the goalkeeper, taking four in total. John, who assisted on the game-winning goal, put two towards goal, with his lone attempt at net finding the mark.
Neumann (11-3-3, 7-0) closes the regular season with a four-game winning streak and will now work towards the postseason. They will be the top seed in the Atlantic East Tournament and will get a bye into the semifinals. They will face the winner of the first round matchup between Saint Elizabeth and Gwynedd Mercy on Tuesday.
