Atlantic East Selects Three Neumann Athletes for Weekly Accolades

HADDONFIELD, N.J. – The Atlantic East Conference announced their weekly awards on Monday afternoon, and, for the second straight week, the same three athletes have been honored. Donte Dupriest was named the Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week, DJ Earl was named to the weekly Honor Roll, as well as Women's Basketball's Emily DuPont.
 
Dupriest averaged 30 points and 16 rebounds in a 2-0 week for Neumann. To open the week, the senior scored 27 points and 12 board in a 93-82 win at Widener. He followed with 34 points and 20 rebounds in an 87-77 win against Penn State Abington. Dupriest went 10-for-11 from the line. This is his ninth weekly award in his career and his sixth Defensive Player of the Week award.
 
Earl averaged 23.5 rebounds and 4.5 rebounds this week for the Knights. In the win at Widener, the senior tallied a double-double with 23 points and 10 boards. He also had six assists and five steals. Back home against Penn State Abington, Earl scored 25 points. This is the fifth weekly Honor Roll selection as a Neumann Knight.
 
DuPont scored 22 points, including her 1,000th career point, in a loss at Haverford in her only game of the week. She also pulled down 15 rebounds for a double-double. DuPont scored her 1,000th point on a three-pointer towards the end of the third quarter. This is the 17th time that she has been honored in the weekly awards and her 13th Honor Roll nod.
