Welcome to Fall Knights! Where we hear what student-athletes are up to during the fall semester.

Now that the fall semester is over and we are headed into winter break, I have had the opportunity to reflect on how this semester has treated me. On the academic side, I have had my busiest and most challenging semester as a Medical Laboratory Science major. By taking high level and major-specific courses and labs, I was able to dive in and prepare for my upcoming clinical rotations that start over the summer after softball is done. Although it has been challenging, I have found it extremely rewarding!Â
On the athletics side, my softball team and I had a very successful preseason. We had a great play day in October, as well as a packed and successful practice schedule all semester-long. I am so proud of my team this semester being able to show up and perform for the last three months throughout practice, lift, and playing on the field, and am excited to continue our season in January!
I have also had the opportunity to get more involved on campus, especially through SAAC and the Biology Student Association. Over the summer, I became a Campus Captain for The Hidden Opponent, as well as keeping up as a Morgan's Message Ambassador. Both organizations have helped me bring student-athlete mental health awareness on campus in many ways, including pairing up with SAAC and The Counseling Center to run Peak Performance Talks. We have so much planned for the Spring semester and I am excited to watch it all play out!
This is our final edition for the fall. Be sure to check back in the spring semester for Spring Knights! If you want to be involved with Spring Knights, be sure to email Jill and Tom!
