Men’s Tennis Takes Down Rutgers-Camden

Box Score CAMDEN, N.J. – The Neumann University Men's Tennis team took the short trip across the Delaware River and defeated Rutgers-Camden, 5-2, on a non-conference match.
 
Although the first doubles team of Joe Troilo and Anthony Carpinella fell in a 6-3 set, Jason Petrin and Vince Landis won 6-4 in second doubles, and Logan Gorbitz and Tony Andrews won 7-5 in third doubles, to secure the first point for the Knights
 
Troilo did respond in his singles match with a dominant two-set victory, 6-0, 6-0. Gorbitz battled in fourth singles for a three-set win, 1-6, 7-6(8-6), 10-7, and Travis Lodge was strong in fifth single win a 6-1, 6-0 win. Carpinella finished out the day with a 6-3, 7-6 win in sixth singles.
 
Neumann (4-4, 0-1) will have a quick turnaround as they will host Immaculata University in an Atlantic East Conference match on Saturday starting at 12:00 PM.
