NEWARK, Del. – The Neumann University Cross Country teams took an early Friday morning trip to White Clay Creek State Park to partake in the University of Delaware Invitational.
First up was the Women's race on the 5K course.
Ingrid Swarez-Ramirez led all Neumann runners with a personal best time of 25:14.9.
Ciana Rosado also had a career top 5K time of 25:26.9. Rounding out the Knights' representation was
Katie Baier and
Val Castillo with times of 26:58.4 and 29:59.2, respectively.
For most of the men's team, this is their first time running an 8K course in their collegiate careers.
Bryan Castro is the lone Knight with experience at this distance and was able to put together a time of 33:14.8.
Ethan John followed with a time of 38:32.3 with
Jahmeen Ross finishing in 41:43.8.
Luke Ehly and
Jamar Davis were next with times of 44:01.0 and 52:54.8.
Siede Washington rounded out Neumann's participation with a time of 58:16.4.
Neumann will be back in action on Saturday, October 11
th when they participate in the Jack St. Clair Invitational in Philadelphia. The races from Belmont Plateau are scheduled for a 12:15 PM start.
