Atlantic East Recognizes Four Knights in Weekly Awards

HADDONFIELD, N.J. – The Atlantic East Conference announced their weekly awards on Monday afternoon a four Neumann University athlete were among the honorees. Bryan Etienne was named the Men's Basketball Player of the Week with his teammate, Donte Dupriest earning Honor Roll recognition. Women's Basketball's Bri Gautier, and Women's Lacrosse's Alena Catka were also bestowed Honor Roll status.
 
Etienne averaged 18.5 points as Neumann wrapped up the regular season with two wins. In the 84-76 win at Marywood, the senior scored 18 points. He followed with 19 points and 10 rebounds along with four assists during the No. 4 seed clinching 71-58 win at Centenary. This is his second weekly award this season and the second Player of the Week nod of his career.
 
Dupriest averaged 19 points and 8.5 rebounds this past week. The senior scored 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the win over Marywood. He also handed out four assists. Dupriest wrapped up the regular season with 13 points and six rebounds in the win at Centenary. This is his 10th weekly award this season and fourth Honor Roll selection.
 
Gautier averaged nine rebounds and eight points as Neumann wrapped up the regular season, 1-1. To start the week, the junior had four points and nine rebounds in the 60-53 overtime loss to Marywood. She followed with 14 points and nine boards as the Knights clinched a postseason berth with a 66-51 win at Centenary.
 
Catka scored three goals, grabbed 10 draw controls and three ground balls, helping the Women's Lacrosse team claw back from a 10-3 deficit in the season opening 11-9 loss at Stockton. This is the fifth weekly award of her career.
