HADDONFIELD, N.J. – The Atlantic East Conference announced their weekly awards on Monday afternoon, and a sextet of Knights were recognized. Baseball's
Nick Ciesielka and
Josh Lillis, Women's Lacrosse's
Alena Catka, Women's Track & Field's
Kyleigh Joniec, and Softball's
Emily Ammon and
Rebecca DiLeo were all named to the weekly Honor Roll.
Ciesielka hit .545 (6-for-11) with three doubles and two triples. He also scored seven runs, drove in three, stole three bases and walked twice. In a 16-4 win over John Jay, the junior went 3-for-5 with a double and a triple and scored four runs.
Lillis went four innings for the win in a 16-4 win over John Jay. The junior allowed an unearned run on two hits and struck out six. This is he second Atlantic East weekly award of his career.
Catka scored eight goals and added an assist as Neumann went 1-1 overall and 1-0 in conference action. Against No. 18 TCNJ, the junior scored three goals and picked up 11 draw controls. She followed with five goals, an assist and five draw controls in a 19-4 win over Gwynedd Mercy to stay undefeated in the Atlantic East. This is her fourth weekly award of the season.
Joniec won the Javelin Throw at Lincoln with a distance of 28.72 meters. The senior improved her distance at Widener on Saturday to 32.26 meters. This is her second consecutive weekly Honor Roll selection.
Ammon hit .650 (13-for-20) as Neumann went 5-1 overall and 1-1 in conference action. The senior also picked up the 100th stolen base of her career, the first Knight to steal 100 bases; set the season record for stolen bases with 33, breaking her own record from last season; and set the single-game record for stolen bases with six. Ammon finished the week with 15 stolen bases. She also hit a double, two triples, scored 10 runs and knocked in five. Ammon stole six bases in the first game against Widener on Wednesday where the Knights won 6-5. She then stole her 100th base in the first game against Marywood and then set the season record in the second game over Marywood. This is the second weekly Honor Roll selection of her collegiate career.
DiLeo went 2-0 in the circle for the Knights. The first year came in relief and picked up the 6-5 win over Widener. She went 4.1 innings and allowed just two hits and struck out a pair. DiLeo pitched a complete game in the 5-2 win over Marywood. She allowed two runs, one earned, on seven hits and struck out four.
