Nicole Crawford enters her fourth season as the Head Men's and Women's Track and Field coach at Neumann University for the 2017-18 season. During her three seasons, the Knights have set multiple school records as well as numerous career bests for each athlete.
During the 2016-17 season, Coach Crawford coached the Knights at the second CSAC Outdoor Championship. Francis Terry won the 200-meter dash. Nafisa Saunders won the high jump and placed second in the 100-meter dash and 4x100-meter relay, respectively.
Coach Crawford had one runner qualify for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Indoor Championship as Terry represented the Knights in the 400-meter and 200-meter races. Terry also qualified for the outdoor championships in the 100 and 200 meter races.
During the 2015-16 season, Coach Crawford coached the Knights at the first Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Outdoor Championship. Deborah Spruance won the first gold in the long jump. Spruance and Nafisa Saunders each also placed second in the 100-meter dash and the high jump, respectively.
During the 2014-15 season, Coach Crawford had one runner qualify for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Outdoor Championship as Spruance represented the Knights in the 100-meter race. Both teams had standout performances throughout the season.
Coach Crawford came to Neumann having previously served as an assistant coach at West Chester University and Widener University. While at WCU, Crawford assisted with the betterment and physical development for the hurdler members. She worked with sprinters while at Widener.
Crawford has received level I USA Track& Field certification, with additional certifications as NSC CPR and First Aid Trainer and training focusing on Counseling Skills, Diversity, and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI).
Crawford has earned two Masters degrees from Saint Joseph's University. First in 2014 Criminal Justice with a concentration on Behavioral Counseling. She recently earned her second Masters degree, in Health Education. Crawford received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Widener University where she also contributed to several of Mid-Athletic Conference (MAC)/University team awards and records as a Sprinter/ Hurdler.
