Neumann University Athletics

A.J. Thompson is entering his first season as an assistant coach for the Neumann University Women’s Basketball team for the 2014-2015 season.

Currently Thompson is a 5^th grade teacher in the Tredyffrin-Easttown School District where he has worked since 2004. While teaching, Thompson served as the 8^th grade girls’ basketball coach for six seasons and the 8^th grade boys’ basketball coach for two seasons. He has also been the 8^th grade baseball coach for eight seasons.  Thompson is one of the directors of the Sky High basketball skills camp during the summer.

Coach Thompson graduated from Marywood University in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. While at Marywood, he was a three year starter on the baseball team. He also has a master’s degree from Immaculata University in Educational Leadership.

Thompson currently lives in Spring City, Pa. with his wife Kelly, daughter Maggie, and son Jace.
