Andy Haman

Coach Haman begins his second season with the Neumann University women’s basketball team for the 2016-17 season.

Coach Haman returns to Neumann after spending the last two seasons at Chestnut Hill College. He spent the 2012-13 season as an assistant coach with Neumann men’s team where he was involved in the day-to-day operations and provided the Knights with recruiting scouting reports, skill training, and an emphasis on success in the classroom and in life.
 
Prior to his time with the Knights, Haman served a year term as an assistant with Del - Castle Vocational High School’s women’s team and a six-year stint as the Head Coach for Lincoln University’s (PA) women’s basketball program. During his time with the Lions, Haman coached the women’s program to an all-time best 19-8 (.704) record and an NCAA Division Independent Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship in 2006-2007. He later oversaw the program’s transition to an NCAA Division II institution in 2010. Haman was responsible for the team’s development, strategies, recruitment, NCAA and Central Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (CIAA) Compliance, scheduling, and budget. Under Coach Haman, the Lions graduated 100% of their student-athletes and were highly active in their community as participants in several outreach programs and an alumni fund raising campaign.
 
Haman recruited, developed and coached four 1,000-point scorers and one  CIAA first team player with the women program  three players during his tenure with the men program which includes  one All America  Darrell Lewis and Honorable mention and Lincoln University only 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds athlete in  Tarron Richardson. Both players had their numbers retired.
 
Haman’s additional experience includes assistant positions with Cheyney University (PA), 2001-2004, Lincoln University’s (PA) men’s program (1986-2001), and Delaware County Community College, 1984-1986. He is a member of the Rhi Phi Lambda fraternity and holds a bachelor’s degree recreation with a concentration in Recreation and leisure management that he completed at Cheyney University (PA) in 2004.
