Roland Whiting

Coach Roland Whiting enters his second season coaching the Neumann University men’s and women’s track & field program.  Whiting is also the head coach for the University's cross country teams. 

Before coming to Neumann, Coach Whiting was an assistant coach on Lincoln’s 2007 NCAA Division III national championship indoor team.    

Whiting was a 12-time All-American and a member of five NCAA Division III national championship teams. Whiting is also a member of the school record 4 x 100-meter relay team. Whiting earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health and Physical Education & Recreation (HPER).

Prior to returning to Lincoln, Whiting was an assistant track and field coach at Widener University, where he helped the Pride win three Middle-Atlantic Conference championships. He also coached four All-Americans and a host of national championship qualifiers. Whiting also coached at Roman Catholic High School in Philadelphia where he produced nine all-Catholic athletes and five state qualifiers. Whiting also coached the Philadelphia Catholic League 4 x 100-meter relay championship squad.
