Neumann University Athletics

Jill Weigel was named the Athletics Communications Director at Neumann University in September 2008 and oversees the publicity of all 19 of the Knights’ NCAA Division III athletic programs.

Prior to Neumann, Weigel served as the interim Assistant Sports Information Director at Haverford College for the 2008 spring semester. She spent the 2007 fall semester as the Media Relations Coordinator at the University of Maryland.

Prior to UMD, Weigel spent two years (2005-07) as a graduate assistant in the Sports Information Office at Kutztown University, aiding in the coverage of all 21 of the university's Division II varsity sports. Weigel earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Kutztown University in May, 2004. She was a student-worker in the sports information office during her junior and senior years.

Weigel is a member of the Philadelphia Area Sports Information Directors (Philly-SIDA), Eastern Athletic Communications Association (EAST-COMM, formally ECAC-SIDA) and College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA). She served as the College Division Representative on the EAST-COMM Board from 2016-2019 and as the Charities Chair from 2019-2021. Weigel was named the Bob Kenworthy Award winner from EAST-COMM in 2022. She currently serves as the Region 2 representative on the D3SIDA Board.

Weigel resides in West Chester, Pa. and works as Game Day Staff for the Wilmington Blue Rocks (High A) during the summers. She completed her Masters in Sport and Entertainment Management at Neumann University in the spring of 2016.
