Kurt Nusshag enters his third season as Head Coach of the Neumann University Women's Soccer program in 2026 after joining the Knights as an assistant coach in 2022.
In his first two seasons as head coach, he has led the Knights to back-to-back conference semifinal appearances, establishing the program as a consistent contender in the Atlantic East Conference.
Before taking over the program, Nusshag built an accomplished playing career. A four-year starter and two-year team captain at nationally ranked East Stroudsburg University, he established himself as a respected leader on and off the field. Following his collegiate career, he played three seasons professionally with the Reading Rage, earning Team of the Week honors three times during his tenure. He then continued his playing career in Germany for 9 years as a center back for SV Rodenbach.
During his time in Germany he also was a DoD Civilian and worked as an Assistant Director of the U.S. Army Garrison (USAG) Kaiserslautern Youth Sports and Fitness Program.
In addition to his collegiate coaching responsibilities, Nusshag is the founder and owner of Discipline ProjeKt, a fitness and performance training company specializing in group fitness and personal training. He holds certifications as an AFAA Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor, is a Certified Group Personal Training Specialist, and has earned both Level I and Level II Kettlebell Coaching certifications.
Nusshag is passionate about developing student-athletes both on and off the field, emphasizing a culture of discipline, accountability, and continuous growth while fostering success in competition, the classroom, and the community.
