Rebecca Morse

Former professional hockey player Rebecca Morse enters her first season as Head Women’s Ice Hockey Coach at Neumann University in 2026–27, bringing an accomplished background in collegiate and professional hockey, elite player development, and program leadership.
 
A six-year veteran of the PHF/NWHL, Morse competed professionally with the Metropolitan Riveters and Connecticut Whale, serving multiple seasons as both an Assistant Captain and Players’ Association Representative. She was a member of the Riveters’ 2018 Isobel Cup championship team, earned selection to the 2020 NWHL All-Star Game, and received the NWHL Foundation Award for leadership and service.
 
Morse has built a respected coaching résumé with experience spanning youth, Tier I, and collegiate-bound player development. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes discipline, accountability, confidence, and daily habits that prepare student-athletes for success both on the ice and in the classroom while fostering a competitive, team-first culture.
 
Prior to arriving at Neumann, Morse served as Associate Head Coach of The Pingry School girls’ varsity ice hockey team and briefly served as Head Coach of the New Jersey Colonials Girls 19U Major AAA team. She also works extensively as a skills and development instructor, training athletes from the youth to collegiate levels.
 
From 2021–2025, Morse served as Head Coach and Hockey Director for the Princeton Tiger Lilies, overseeing girls’ teams from 8U through 19U. During her tenure, she helped advance dozens of players to NCAA, ACHA, Tier I, and prep school programs while leading teams to two semifinal appearances at the USA Hockey Girls Tier II National Championships. She also served as Assistant Director for Black Bear Sports Group, helping expand grassroots hockey initiatives and introduce more than 300 new athletes to the sport.
 
A 2014 graduate of Providence College, Morse was a four-year defenseman for the Friars, recording 60 career points across 136 NCAA Division I games while earning Hockey East All-Rookie Team and All-Hockey East Honorable Mention recognition. She later earned her MBA from Providence College.
