Tera Hofmann brings extensive experience as a collegiate and professional goaltender, coach, and player development specialist to the Neumann University women’s ice hockey program.
With 15 years of coaching experience, Hofmann has worked with goaltenders at all levels of the game, emphasizing technical development, confidence, and preparation. Her passion for teaching and commitment to athlete development have helped goaltenders improve their skills and compete at the highest levels of hockey.
A former NCAA Division I and professional goaltender, Hofmann competed for three seasons in the PHF/NWHL with the Metropolitan Riveters, Toronto Six, and Buffalo Beauts. She was selected 16th overall in the NWHL Draft following an accomplished collegiate career at Yale University, where she established herself as one of the top goaltenders in Bulldogs history.
During her career with the Bulldogs, Hofmann ranked among Yale’s all-time leaders in multiple goaltending categories, including third in career goals-against average (2.64), fourth in career save percentage (.914), fifth in career shutouts (6), and seventh in career saves (1,904). She earned multiple ECAC honors, including Rookie of the Week (twice), Goalie of the Week, and NCAA Women’s Hockey Three Stars recognition after recording three consecutive shutouts during her senior season. Hofmann was also a four-time ECAC All-Academic Team selection.
A dedicated mentor and advocate for goaltender development, Hofmann brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Knights’ coaching staff while helping student-athletes reach their full potential on and off the ice.
