Shayne Morrissey, of the men's hockey team, is this week's Neumann University Athlete of the Week.

Morrissey was also named the ECAC West Rookie of the Week.

The freshman had five points, three goals and two assists, as the Knights went 2-0 in non-conference action last weekend.

He scored the game-winning goal with 1:45 left in overtime to defeat Salve Regina 6-5. He tallied an assist on the first goal of the game and then netted a power play goal.

In an 8-4 win against Morrisville State, Morrissey scored just 36 seconds into the game for an early lead.
