Chase Fraser, of the men's lacrosse team, is this week's Neumann University Athlete of the Week. The senior was also named to the CSAC Honor Roll.
Fraser amassed 15 goals, 18 ground balls and won 12-of-18 face offs in a 1-1 week for Neumann. The senior netted nine goals in an 18-9 win over SUNY-Cobleskill. Against Marywood, the senior attacker won the opening face-off cleanly, sprinted downfield and rifled home the game's first tally just four seconds into the game to set a new NCAA Division III record for quickest goal to start a game. Fraser's goal was one second faster than the previous record of five seconds, which was set back in 2011.
