Melanie Malseed, of the women's volleyball team, is this week's Neumann University Athlete of tte Week.
Malseed, who was also named the Atlantic East Player of the Week, averaged 12.6 kills (.349 hitting percentage) and 12.8 digs in a 3-2 week for the Knights, totaling 63 kills, five service aces, four assists, 64 digs, and a block. The senior was named to the All-Tournament team as Neumann hosted the 10th annual Knights Invitational. Her week high came in a 3-0 win over Penn State Berks, where she tallied 18 kills and 24 digs. She had double-digit kills in four of the five matches, while recording a double-double in two.
