Amanda Simpson, of the women's hockey team, is this week's Neumann University Athlete of the Week.

Simpson was also named the ECAC West Rookie of the Week. Simpson tallied three goals and two assists for five points in the weekend sweep of Cortland State. The freshman had a goal and an assist in a 7-0 win on Friday evening. On Saturday, she had her hand in three of the Knights four goals notching two goals and an assist.

For the season, Simpson leads the team with 11 points (6g, 5a) in 15 contests.
