ASTON, Pa. – Russ Gilliam, baseball team, is this week's Neumann University Athlete of the Week.

Gilliam was also named the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Pitcher of the Week.

This is the second time this season the junior has been named the Pitcher of the Week. Gilliam was dominant in two appearances this past week. On Tuesday, he went 2.0 innings, allowing one hit and striking out three as Neumann defeated New Jersey City. Against CSAC Rival Centenary, the junior pitched a complete game shutout. He went 7.0 innings and allowed two hits and struck out 16 as the Knights won 5-0.

For the season, Gilliam is 5-0 overall with a 0.75 ERA. In 36.0 innings, he has struck out 56. Opponents are batting just .185 against him.
