RADNOR, Pa. – The Neumann College and Cabrini College field hockey teams met Saturday afternoon in a contest between the top of the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC). Cabrini prevailed with a 2-1 win over Neumann.

Cabrini (10-4, 5-0 CSAC) scored the first goal of the game 14:35 into the contest as Desiree Umosella tipped the ball behind Knights goalie Jordan Haviland. Samantha Ewan gave the Cavaliers a 2-0 lead as she scored off a rebound at the 42:57 mark.

Neumann (5-10, 4-1 CSAC) got to within one as Rachael DiCiccio scored off a pass from Lauren Hood in the 55th minute. Hood had a chance to tie the game with five minutes left, but Cabrini's goalkeeper, Caitlin Donahue, stopped the shot.

Haviland made 12 saves in net for Neumann. Donahue had five saves for Cabrini.  

Neumann will travel to Scranton for a CSAC game against Marywood on Tuesday. The game is scheduled to start at 4 p.m.
