Volleyball Beats Cabrini in Five

Knights remain undefeated in CSAC action

RADNOR, Pa. – The Neumann College and Cabrini College volleyball teams met in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action Tuesday night as they put their undefeated conference records on the line. Neumann pulled out the win in five sets, 3-2.

 

Neumann (11-8, 6-0 CSAC) won the first two sets, 25-19, 26-24. Cabrini (12-9, 3-1 CSAC) battled back and won sets three and four, 25-18, 26-24. In the deciding set five, the Knights won 15-11.

 

Jarrae Robinson led the Knights with 17 kills. Julia Tarloski and Ashley Mathis netted 14 kills. Kristen Verone dished out 51 assists and 20 digs. Meghan Wilson had a team high 22 digs. Rachael Sokolovich had 14 digs and Rachele DiMichele notched 13 digs. Tarloski added two solo blocks and four block assists.

 

Traci Beltz led the Cavaliers with 12 kills. Lizzie Williams dished out 38 assists. Michelle Mola led Cabrini in digs with 25. Courtney Abel had 16, Danielle Finnegan added 13 and Williams had 12.

 

The match was played in just under two hours in front of a crowd of 243.

 

Neumann will host Lebanon Valley and Frostburg State in a Tri-Match on Saturday in Bruder Gymnasium. The Knights will face Lebanon Valley at 11 a.m. and Frostburg State at 3 p.m.
