ASTON, Pa. – Jeff Rodell scored with 10 second left in overtime to lift Neumann College over Manhattanville College, 4-3, Saturday night in ECAC West action.
Manhattanville opened the scoring early, netting a goal just 24 seconds into the game. That goal would stand until Bill Foster scored with under a minute left to play in the second period on a dump in from center ice.
Jesse Cole would put the Knights in front 2-1 with a power play goal early in the third period. Jasper Haltman put Neumann up 3-1 off an assist from Kayleigh Schrock.
With time winding down in regulation, the Vailants pulled their goalie and Arlen Marshall scored to cut Neumann's lead to 3-2 with 1:31 left. Marshall tied the game at 3-all with a power play goal with 22 second remaining in the third period.
In overtime, Rodell netted the game-winning goal, off assists from Kyle Casey and Marlon Gardner, with 10 seconds remaining.
Ross MacKinnon made 18 saves in net for the Knights. Neumann improves to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in ECAC West play. The Knights will host Elmira College next Friday night. The puck is set to drop at 7 p.m.
