POMONA, N.J. – The Neumann College women's basketball team defeated Richard Stockton, 76-72, Tuesday evening in non-conference play.

LaTonya Oliver led Stockton with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Ashley Hart, Kelley Guarrera and Monique Garcia each netted 10 points.

Neumann came out of the gate strong and scored the games first six points. The Knights would hold on other six point lead, 27-21, with 9:13 left in the first half, but Stockton would not let-up. Neumann held a one point advantage, 33-32, at halftime.

The second half was much like the first and featured five ties. Neumann held the lead for most of the half, but could not put Stockton away. With just under three minutes remaining in regulation, Krista DiRomualdo hit a three-pointer to put the Knights up by one 68-67. Borcky connected on a jumper. DiRomualdo hit 1-of-2 from the line and Whetts made 2-of-2 to put Neumann up by six with 34 seconds left. Stockton hit a free throw and a three-pointer to cut the lead to two, but two free throws from Whetts sealed the win for the Knights.

Neumann improves to 5-3 overall. Stockton is now 1-7. This is Neumann's second win over Stockton this season as the Knights defeated Stockton, 61-51, at the Marymount Marine Corps Tip-off in Arlington, Va. back in November. Neumann will host Catholic University on Friday, December 19 at 5 p.m.  as it looks to avenge a 72-71 loss earlier this season.
