ASTON, Pa. – The #10 Neumann College women's ice hockey team fell to #2 Plattsburgh State, 4-0, Friday evening in ECAC West action.

Plattsburgh scored all four goals in the third period. Kate Fairfield broke the 0-0 tie with a goal at the 2:17 mark of the third period, which ended up being the game winner. The Cardinal netted a second goal, from Stephanie Moberg, less than two minutes later. Steph Moon added the third goal and Moberg netted her second goal on the evening, on the power play, to seal the win.

Mel Brunet netted 33 saves in net for Neumann. Danielle Beattie notched 20 saves en route to the shut out for Plattsburgh.

Neumann falls to 5-3 overall and 4-3 in the ECAC West. Plattsburgh is 6-1-1 overall and 5-1-1 in the conference. The two teams will meet again tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m.
