ASTON, Pa. – The #10 Neumann College women's ice hockey team fell to #2 Plattsburgh State, 2-0, Saturday afternoon in an ECAC West match-up.

Plattsburgh opened the scoring in the first period when Amber Eillis notched a goal from Kate Fairfield and Vanessa Worz at the 8:31 mark. Clair O'Conner gave the Cardinal an insurance goal at the 18:07 mark of the second period on the power play.

Mel Brunet made 31 saves in net for the Knights. Danielle Beattie stopped 13 shots for Plattsburgh. Neumann will now be off until the New Year when it travels to the UMASS Boston Codfish Bowl. The Knights will face Trinity College in the first game on January 5.
