Box Score

STEVENSON, Md. - The Neumann College men's soccer team took on Stevenson University today in a difficult non-conference match.  Both teams were evenly matched and ended up tied 0-0.  Head Coach Kevin Sloan stated, "Our defense played fantastic today and as did freshmen goalie Bob Mastrillo."

Neumann was able to create 11 opportunities during the game but was unable to turn any of them into a goal.  When the Knights were attacking on defense their back line was shutting down a potent Mustang offense.  Stevenson was only able to get 6 shots throughout the game as the Neumann fullbacks were able to keep keep pace with Stevenson's forwards.  Complementing their effort was freshmen goalie Bob Mastrillo (Seneca HS / Tabernacle, NJ) had a huge day as he stopped two break away attacks by Stevenson.

Neumann improves to 0-2-2 overall.  The Knights will head to Montclair State on Monday September 15th to play a rescheduled game.  Game time will be 7 p.m.
