ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann College volleyball team opened Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play with a 3-0 win over Marywood University Saturday afternoon in Bruder Gymnasium.

The Knight's looked sharp after a two week hiatus, winning the sets by 25-11, 25-13 and 25-15 scores.

Rachael Sokolovich led Neumann (4-6, 1-0 CSAC) with seven kills and three service aces. Emilee Gruse notched six kills and Julia Tarlosku added five. Meghan Wilson led the team with 17 digs and Kristen Verone notched 23 assists.

Emily Fillman led Marywood (3-9, 1-1 CSAC) with five kills and 14 digs. Rionna Coor had 10 assists.

Prior to todays match, senior Sokolovich was honored for reaching the 1,000 career kills plateau earlier this season. The Knights will travel to Centenary College on Wednesday for a CSAC match starting at 7 p.m.
