ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann College men's basketball team defeated Centenary College, 60-52, Monday night in Colonial States Athletic Conference action.

Eli Hitchens led Neumann with 20 points. Marquise Boggs scored 12 and Mike Hitchens added 10.

Ryan Kearney led the Cyclones with 19 points. Rob Urie added 12.

Neumann took its lead for good with 2:50 left as Eli Hitchens hit two free throws. Hitchens then made hit a lay-up to give the Knights a 52-48 lead. Mike Hitchens added two free throws to put the Knights up by six with 1:07 left.  Kearney hit a jumper to get within four, but the Cyclones would not get any closer.

The teams battled back and forth in the first half with five ties and neither team taking more than a five points lead. Centenary took a two points lead off of two free throws by Andrew Cobian, for a 29-27 lead at halftime.

The Knights are now 6-7 overall and 2-2 in the conference. Centenary is 5-6 and 0-3 in CSAC action. Neumann will travel to Philadelphia Biblical on Saturday for a CSAC contest.
