NORTHFIELD, Vt. - The Neumann College men's ice hockey team fell to Norwich University, 2-1, Friday night in the first game of Times-Argus Invitational.
Norwich opened the scoring just 4:14 into the game when Chad Anderson scored from Craig Serino and Rico Piatelli.
The Cadets made it 2-0 on a power play goal from Emmond Bell just 48 seconds into the third period.
Matt Ward netted the Knights goal at the 12:29 mark of the third period from
Donovan Hall, but Neumann could not get any closer.
Ross MacKinnon made 28 saves in net for Neumann. The Knights are now 8-5-1 on the season. Ryan Klingensmith had 23 saves for Norwich. The Cadets improve to 4-2-2.
Neumann will face Elmira in the consolation game on Saturday at 4 p.m.
