ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University field hockey team defeated Cabrini College, 3-2, Saturday afternoon in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) contest. 

Lauren Hood netted two goals for the Knights. Megan Mazur scored the first goal of the game. Melissa Hood and Melissa Malick added assists. Maggie Carpenter made five saves in net. 

Mazur opened the scoring on a penalty stroke at 6:01 into the game. L. Hood would score her first goal, off an assist from her sister M. Hood in the 13^th minute. The Knights took a 2-0 lead into the break. 

L. Hood scored her second goal five minutes into the second half to put the Knights up 3-0. Cabrini would not go quietly. The Cavaliers scored in the 46^th and 52^nd minutes to make the score 3-2, but the Knights held them off for the win.

Neumann, now 6-5 overall and 5-1 in the conference, will travel to York College for a non-conference game on Monday beginning at 4 p.m.
