ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University field hockey team will host Immaculata University on Saturday, October 31 in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) first round game.
The Knights finished the season 6-2 in the conference and 8-9 overall. The 6-2 record put Neumann in a three-way tie with Gwynedd-Mercy and Cabrini for second place. After the tie breakers, the Knights received the No. 3 seed in the playoffs.
Keystone College is the No. 1 seed, going 8-0 in conference play. Gwynned-Mercy will be the No. 2 seed. Both teams receive byes in the first round.
In the other first round match-up, No. 4 seed Cabrini will host No. 5 seed Marywood.
Neumann's game against the No. 6 seed Immaculata will begin at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The men's soccer game, originally scheduled for 1 p.m. has been moved up to a 12:30 start against Marywood. Also playing on Saturday is the women's ice hockey team. The Knights host Adrian at 3 p.m. at Ice Works.
In the meeting earlier this season, Neumann defeated Immaculata 3-2 in overtime. Melissa Malick scored the winning goal 6:50 into the extra session. Callie Emel and Megan Mazur also scored for the Knights. Maggie Carpenter made five saves for the win.
