ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University volleyball team defeated Baptist Bible, 3-1, Tuesday evening in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) match-up.

The Knights won the first set 25-15. The Defenders came back to tie the match at 1-all with a 25-20 win in the second set. The third set came down to the end, but the Knights prevailed 27-25. Neumann then took the match with a 25-18 win in the fourth set.

Ashley Mathis led the Knights with 23 kills. Jerrae Robinson added 14 kills. Cecily Scavicchio dished out 42 assists. Melissa Haines had 22 digs. Scavicchio notched 11 digs while Victoria Limmina added 10.

The Knights improve to 6-15 overall and 5-1 in the CSAC.  Neumann will take part in the Frostburg Quad Match on Friday and Saturday. Action will begin Friday night against Lebanon Valley.
