GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – The Neumann University field hockey team fell to Gwynedd-Mercy, 2-0, Wednesday night in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) game. 

The Griffins scored two goals in the first half and then held the Knights off the board in the second half for the 2-0 win.

Sarah Alphin made nine saves in net for the Knights. Lauren Hood led Neumann with three shots. 

The Knights, now 4-5 overall and 3-1 in the conference, return home for three straight games, beginning with Marywood on October 13. The CSAC game will begin at 4 p.m.
