ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Neumann University men's ice hockey team fell to Elmira College, 6-2, Friday evening in an ECAC West contest.

Aaron Keaney and Mat Valios scored for the Knights. Matt Ward added two assists. Matt Tendler started the game and made 15 saves in net. Ross MacKinnon played the second half of the game and made 16 saves.

Elmira netted four goals on the power play. The Knights scored one.

Keaney opened the scoring 1:59 into the game to put the Knights up 1-0. The Soaring Eagles then scored three goals, including two on the power play, to take a 3-1 lead into the first intermission.

Elmira added two more goals in the second for a 5-1 lead after two periods.

Valios would score for the Knights, on the power play, 4:03 into the third period. The Soaring Eagles added another power play goal for the 6-2 final.

Neumann will travel to Hobart College for a conference game tomorrow night. The puck is set to drop at 7 p.m.
