2009 CSAC Fall Festival Weekend

ASTON, Pa. – Neumann University will compete have three teams competing in the Colonial States Athletic Conference Championship this weekend at Immaculata University as part of the 2009 Fall Festival.

The field hockey team will defend their 2008 title against Cabrini College in a rematch of last season's Championship game. The Knights won last season, 3-0.

This season, Neumann is 10-9 overall. Neumann entered the playoffs as the No. 3 seed. The Knights knocked off Immaculata (No. 6) in the first round, 3-2. Lauren Hood, Melissa Hood and Callie Emel all scored in the winning effort.

In the semifinals, the Knights traveled to Gwynedd-Mercy (No. 2) and won 3-1. Emel scored all three goals.

Both cross country teams will compete in the first events of the day. The women's race will kick-off the Fall Festival at 10 a.m. followed by the men at 11 a.m.
