CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Neumann University men's ice hockey completed a sweep of Cortland St., 5-2, Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.
#Mat Valois# led the Knights with two goals and two assists. Andrew Love and Steve Gervais each scored a goal and added two assists. Ross MacKinnon made 27 saves in net for the win.
Valois netted the lone goal in the first period to put the Knights up 1-0. Cortland tied the game up at 6:51 into the second period. Valois scored his second goal of the game at the 12:38 mark of the second. Jordan Zalba netted a power play, the eventual game-winner, less than a minute later.
Gervais and Love scored in the third period to seal the 5-2 win. Neumann improves to 7-4-2 on the season. The Knights are off for the holiday season and will be back in action January 8-9 when they travel to Potsdam
