D'Ambrosio Scores Late to Lift Neumann over Centenary

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – The Neumann College women's lacrosse team won its third straight game with a 12-11 win at Centenary College Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.

 

Gabby D'Ambrosio scored with 10 seconds left in regulation to give the Knights the win. She finished with five goals in the game. Rachael DiCicco netted three goals.

 

D'Ambrosio also opened the scoring in the game. The teams traded goals throughout the first half and Neumann took a 6-5 lead into halftime.

 

Centenary jumped out to a 10-7 lead with just over 10 minutes left in the game. Neumann then rattled off four goals and took a 10-9 lead with a minute and a half remaining. The Cyclones tied the game with 30 seconds on the clock, but D'Ambrosio scored on a free position shot with 10 seconds left.

 

Neumann will face Cabrini on Tuesday in a CSAC game. The game was originally scheduled to be played at Neumann, but will now be played at Cabrini. The Knights will still be the home team. The game will begin at 3:30 p.m.
