ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University field hockey team dropped a 3-1 decision to Eastern University in a non-conference match-up Saturday afternoon.

Caitlin Donahue scored for the Knights off an assist from Callie Emel. Maggie Carpenter made six saves in net.

The Eagles got on the board first 9:34 into the game. The Knights responded three minutes later to tie the score at one. The score remained tied at the break.

Eastern went ahead on a goal just five minutes into the second half. The Eagles tacked on an insurance goal with just under 10 minutes left on the clock.

 
Neumann is now 1-3 on the season. The Knights will travel to Swarthmore on Wednesday. The game is slated to start at 4:30 p.m.
