IMMACULATA, Pa. - Melissa Malick scored 6:50 into overtime to lift Neumann University to a 3-2 win over Immaculata University Tuesday evening in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.
Callie Emel scored just 3:33 into the game to put the Knights on the board off a pass from Lauren Hood. The Mighty Macs knotted the game at one in the final minute of play in the first half.
Megan Mazur put Neumann back up by one in the 43rd minute on a penalty stroke. Immaculata again tied the game. In the 61st minute, the Mighty Macs scored off a penalty corner.
Malick scored off a rebound in overtime to give the Knights the win. Maggie Carpenter made five saves in net for Neumann.
Neumann improves to 3-4 overall and 2-0 in the CSAC. The Knights will host Rosemont on Thursday at 4 p.m. in a conference match-up.
