POTSDAM, N.Y. – The Neumann University men's ice hockey team fell 4-3 in overtime against SUNY-Potsdam Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.
Jordan Zalba led the Knights with one goal and one assist. Scott Elkow and Matthew Valois both had one goal. William Lacasse had two assists.
Zalba scored the first goal for Neumann on a power play 1:13 into the first period. Potsdam scored two minutes later of a power play to tie the game. A goal 30 seconds later by Elkow put the Knights back on top before the period ended.
Potsdam scored two goals in the second period to give them a 3-2 advantage. The Knights had 10 shots on goal before going into the third period.
Neumann's Valois scored the game tying goal 4:44 into the third period to take the game into overtime.
Potsdam scored the game-winning goal in overtime with only one second left.
The Knights return back on the ice at home when they face Morrisville State University on Friday night at 7 pm.
