HERITAGE FARM PARK, Md. – The Neumann University cross country teams competed at the Hood College Invitational Saturday morning.
The men finished in 11th place out of 13 teams with 286 points. Bridgewater finished first with 24 total points. Waynesburg College was second (114) and Catholic University placed third (117).
Tim Schmitz paced the Knights in the 8K run, finishing in a time of 32:18. Colin Kane was second for Neumann to cross the line with a time of 32:48. Eddie Nungesser wasn't too far behind Kane, finishing in 33:06. David Bergamo ran a time of 34:16 and Chris Brown rounded out the Knights with a time of 35:53.
On the women's side, Emily Stowell finished the 6K race in a time of 29:40. Annamarie Conner ran a time of 32:43.
Neumann will compete in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Championship on Saturday, October 30 on the campus of Gwynedd-Mercy College.
