GENESEO, N.Y. – The Neumann University men's ice hockey team tied Geneseo College,3-3, in non-conference action.
William Lacasse, and Jordan Zalba had one goal and one assist respectively. Michael Ray scored his first collegiate goal. Cory Park and Steve Gervais added assists each.
Geneseo scored their first goal on a power play three minutes into the game. Lacasse scored at the 10:00 minute mark to tie the game on a one man advantage.
The goal by Michael Rey, five minutes into the second period, gave the Knights a 2-1 lead.
Geneseo tied the game at two with 5:08 remaining in the third period, but a goal by Zalba reclaimed the lead for Neumann just 37 seconds later.
Off of a rebound, Geneseo's Danny Scagnelli scored the tying goal with 1:48 remaining in regulation.
Ross MacKinnon made 38 saves in goal.
The Knights head back on the road to take on Curry College in non-conference action. The game is set for Saturday, Nov 6th. Puck drops at 4:30pm.
