CHESTER, Pa. – The Neumann University volleyball team split a pair of games at the Widener Tri-Match Saturday afternoon. The Knights fell to the Pride, 3-1 before defeating Misericordia 3-2.
Neumann dropped the first two sets against Widener 25-15. The Knights then came back to take set three 25-23. The Pride wrapped up the match with a 25-22 win in set four.
Katelin Kuklentz led the Knights with 14 kills. Natalie George added 11 kills. Cecily Scavicchio dished out 38 assists. Victoria Limmina notched 25 digs. Scavicchio and Deanna Christy each had 12 digs while Kuklentz added 11. George had four block solos.
Against Misericordia, Neumann won the first set 25-23. The Cougars then won the second and third sets 25-19 and 25-22. The Knights forced a fifth set with a 25-12 win and took the match 15-8.
Kuklentz had 20 kills for the Knights. Scavicchio handed out 45 assists and 16 digs. Limmina added 28 digs while Kuklentz had 14, Christy had 12 and Maria Donahue notched 10.
Neumann (13-15) will travel to Cabrini on Tuesday evening for conference action beginning at 7 p.m.
