RADNOR, Pa. – The Neumann University volleyball team defeated Cabrini College in five sets, 3-2, and broke the Cavaliers 23-game Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) winning streak Tuesday evening.
Neumann took the first two sets of the evening, 29-27, 25-22. Cabrini came back to win the third and fourth sets, 25-18, 25-23. The Knights came back and won set five 15-9 and hand Cabrini its first conference loss of the season.
Natalie George led three Knights in double-figures in kills with 18. Katelin Kuklentz notched 16 while Cait Cantwell added 15. Cecily Scavicchio handed out 51 assists.
Five Neumann players notched double-digits in digs. Scavicchio led the way with 27. Victoria Limmina added 24 while Kuklentz had 20. Deanna Christy notched 16 digs and Maria Donahue had 13.
Neumann (14-15, 8-2 CSAC) will wrap-up conference action on Thursday evening when it travels to Rosemont College. The match is slated to begin at 7 p.m.
